Our Mission
The churches of the Hyland Lakes Parish, Kempster and Elcho United Church of Christ-Congregational are committed to providing a ministry of care and compassion in following the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Recognizing that the gospel proclaims life and that abundant, we covenant together to enhance our lives through worship and service. We hold sacred our commitment to love our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We welcome all to the warmth and cheer of our fellowships.
Our Core Values
WE BELIEVE IN THE TRIUNE GOD
Creator, resurrected Christ, the sole Head of the church, and the Holy Spirit, who guides and brings about the creative and redemptive work of God in the world.
WE BELIEVE THAT EACH PERSON IS UNIQUE AND VALUABLE
It is the will of God that every person belong to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved.
WE BELIEVE THAT THE UCC IS CALLED TO BE A PROPHETIC CHURCH
As in the tradition of the prophets and apostles, God calls the church to speak truth to power, liberate the oppressed, care for the poor and comfort the afflicted.
Our Ministries
Men's Club
Our Men's Club is a vital part of Elcho UCC. We work tirelessly to provide dinners for the community, manage the Pavillion, and do it all in fellowship with each other. All are welcome to join - women included!
Women's Fellowship
Elcho UCC Women's Fellowship is a ministry dedicated to the fellowship of women and mission in the church, community and world. We would love for you to visit our ministry and see what it is all about.
Memorial Walkway
The Garden Club and the Memorial Committee has established a memorial walkway in front of the Elcho Community Pavilion. The installation of the walk was an Eagle Scout project by Mitchell Wagner, the son of Chris and Debbie Wagner. Memorial bricks are available for purchase to be placed along the edge of the walkway.
